Assistant Executive Director
The Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) seeks a dynamic leader to serve in the role of Assistant Executive Director. The Assistant Executive Director is an integral member of the Executive Management Team and works in close collaboration with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Department Managers by collaboratively driving organizational goals and objectives to assure CSDSIP’s financial and operational success. This position reports directly to CSDSIP’s Executive Director and delivers quarterly operational results to the Board of Directors.
The position demands extensive knowledge of risk financing, risk assessment and risk management; the ideal candidate will understand and know how to use these principles to develop a shared vision for both our Membership and our team. The candidate must be a clear communicator able to convey complex information in an easily understood manner, have strong public speaking skills with the ability to present information to team members, leadership, and the Board of Directors; and communicate effectively in writing. Because CSDSIP is committed to meeting our Members where they are, this position will involve occasional travel.
Major Responsibilities:

Formulate and administer strategic plans

Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures

Ensure policy compliance and report on organizational progress

Assists with the evaluation, maintenance and procuring of adequate Excess of Loss / Reinsurance products

Procurement and maintenance of adequate excess of loss, reinsurance and entity insurance
Requirements:

10 Years of progressively responsible commercial insurance or risk management experience including 5 years of management experience

Applied knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and public administration principles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Functional knowledge of public relations, organizational and strategic development principles

Strong negotiation and consultation skills

Risk Manager Certification

Data Analyst
The Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) seeks a thoughtful and collaborative individual to help us make better use of our risk management information system (RMIS) and our extensive repository of claim, underwriting and membership data. We are a small-but-mighty group of insurance professionals seeking to leverage over 40 years of financial, claims, and loss data to better serve our Members. You will analyze and manage data to improve efficiency, provide insight, and formulate business strategies to help us more effectively serve our Membership. We’ll look to you for operational analytics to support functional business needs, departmental goals, and business outcomes. You will also coordinate internal and external reporting activities across the organization, provide project management, and undertake training and support for the entire team.
Major Responsibilities:
• Leads internal improvement initiatives to streamline processes and make effective use of information technology, using knowledge of departmental processes and procedures, work instructions and training requirements.
• Create and update automated reports to be used by the CSDSIP’s internal departments and external Members to support their daily processes. • Acts as a liaison between internal departments/end users and third-party application vendor to conceptualize, design and communicate application enhancements to support evolving business requirements.
• Translate end-user reporting requests into an actionable plan to change processes for internal partners and/or enhance the RIMS for approval.
• Completes ad-hoc analysis on various data sets and industry trends to develop actionable insights and business strategies.
• Oversees the implementation of a new RMIS.
• Develops and delivers training to end users to maximize the utility and utilization of the RMIS.
• Acts as the primary point-of-contact for the third-party service provider and ensures ongoing maintenance and smooth operation of the RMIS.
Core Duties:
• Completes complex detailed data collection and analysis.
• Creates, reviews, analyzes, and maintains accurate reports. Ensures the integrity and quality of data and reports.
• Led the user acceptance testing process and coordinate with external vendor to migrate changes to production as needed.
• Creates and manages a wide variety of reporting tools.
• Creates business intelligence tools or systems to analyze and report key metrics.
• Develops and maintains training and training resources for end users.
• Assess the data and/or report needs for individual departments and develops reports
• Assesses the feasibility of collecting accurate data to support reporting needs and enhances data collection and data validation processes to support these needs
• Communicates and disseminates information regarding tools, report, analysis, and data enhancements.
Qualifications:
• EDUCATION – - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or a related field that includes significant coursework in programming, statistics, quantitative research or equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE – Two or more years in financial analysis and reporting. Prior experience leading the implementation of an enterprise-wide application and/or working with insurance applications a plus.
• SKILLS – High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g. macros, pivot tables, and VBA). Experience working with a relational databases and report writing tools (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access Crystal Reports, nVision, Power BI, or Tableau desired etc.

Property Claims Specialist
The Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) seeks a full-time Property Claims Specialist to provide responsive, efficient, and effective claim services consistent with established Claim Services goals, standards, and objectives for member school districts throughout the State of Colorado.
The Property Claims Specialist works under the direction of the Manager of Claims Services to investigate, evaluate, and adjust commercial property claims. The Property Claims Specialist manages a claim load of complex property losses from report to resolution. This includes establishing claim files, evaluating and applying coverage, determining liability and subrogation potential, as well as estimation of material damage to facilities, equipment, and autos.
Additional responsibilities may include: choosing and assigning experts; working closely with contractors and repair firms throughout the claim life cycle; conducting complex negotiations; recommending repair methodology, settlements; attending cause & origin and structural analysis inspections; and, preparing reports related to high-profile claims activities including excess or reinsurance reporting.
This position involves approximately 50% in-state travel with approximately 20% involving overnight stays per year. Candidates must have a clean driving record.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and concurrently managing multiple projects and tasks, be detail-oriented, highly organized and provide outstanding customer service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required. Prior experience with estimating software, such as Xactware is required.
The candidate must be a clear oral and written communicator, have strong public speaking skills with the ability to present information to team members and leadership; and have excellent time management skills.
A background in commercial property adjusting with a minimum of five years of experience is required. Public entity experience is preferred.
