About the Event
This course offers practical skills for defusing tense situations and reducing the likelihood of conflict escalation. Participants will learn communication strategies, body language cues, and psychological approaches to calm individuals in distress or agitation. The training focuses on fostering a non-threatening environment, using active listening, and employing techniques to resolve conflicts peacefully.
This training helps fulfill the training requirement of 1 CCR 301-26, 5.01(e): "The operator shall receive a minimum of six hours of in-service training annually."
